Tarlabasi is an urban region near to Taksim. It is
in the center of Istanbul that`s why it has an important economic
value. The policy of the city planning is to transform its old and
historical architecture into clean hotels and markets. Mostly Kurdish
people live here. They are poor but have a peaceful life. Is it fair to spoil their lively and colorful life?
VJ Fest Istanbul is an independent live audiovisuals art festival. Its aim is to improve veejaying culture. All activities are free and open.
